Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, AL featured as a great destination by the New York Times!

A recent article in The New York Times Great Homes and Destinations section featured Gulf Shores and Orange Beach, Alabama.  While many of the readers here already know the treasure we have here in LA (Lower Alabama!), all readers will enjoy this timely article.

That is great news! I hope it will bring more buyers. Have they opened the casinos back yet?

We don’t have casinos here, but they are only an hour and a half away in Biloxi, MS. They are up and going and raking it in I am sure.

It is always great to get national possitive exposure for your area.

Keep up the blogging though.

I have always been told that Alabama is a great place to visit. Rich with great people and great places.

I live about an hour away from Pittsburgh and they have been trying to get a Casino open for over 5 years now. They are a great revenue generator for the city but are welcomed with mixed emotions by its citizens.

Cal,

That is a great piece on the area. National exposure is always a good thing. Do you find most of your buyers follow the demographic breakdown in the article?

I would say the demographic breakdown was fairly accurate.

Nice to see your area recognized. I certainly have a different perspective on Alabama learning a little bit about the Gulf Coast.
