Gulf Coast Neighbor - Sarasota, Florida

SarasotaGulfShores Sarasota, Florida our Gulf Coast NeighborLocated along the Gulf Coast about an hour south of Tampa is the fun beach town of Sarasota, Florida. This is a popular destination for northerners who want to escape the cold winters of the north. Siesta Key, Longboat Key, Lido Key, and Casey Key are barrier islands off the coast of Sarasota. They are all known internationally for the beauty and quality of their beaches. Siesta Key Beach consistently ranks as one of the world’s most scenic beaches. Dr. Beach recently ranked Siesta Key as the #2 prettiest beach in the nation.

Sarasota was once known only as a sleepy beach town but has blossomed into a fabulous spot for vacationers, retirees, second home owners escaping cold winters, as well as professionals and young families yearning for a superior quality of life. Sarasota and Manatee counties boast a multitude of golf courses and tennis facilities, fun fishing adventures, a variety of beaches, highly rated schools, numerous fine dining establishments as well as "Old Florida" hamburger and finer food dives, a considerable array of arts, entertainment and culture, and fun shopping destinations.

Marc,
Nice to know the market in Sarasota is ripe for buyers. Hopefully the change in rates and $8000 tax credit will motivate people to take advantage of the low prices.

I hope the hurricane season is not as bad this season as it has been in previous ones. We are usually right in their paths where I am as well but they are a lot weaker then for the most part. We do get some really bad ones though.

Saratsota is a nice place. I stayed there once on vacation a long time ago. However, from the sound of your post, it sounds like it’s gotten a lot more lively.

Saratsota is an awesome place. I’ve been there several times and would love to relocate. Prices are down, so maybe now is the time to make the switch!
