We come from Australia and in the last week or so the Australian housing market has crashed. Of course officially, there’s no response in the media so far, but it’s obvious to the man on the street. There are so many auctions now with no bidders. I’m buying your book, hopefully there will be some good advice in there. Thanks.

Excellent write up Autor. A lot of effort behind that post and some really good tips on improving QS – cheers.

Interesting post, keep the good stuff coming, good content appreciated!

Thanks for sharing this Cal. It is indeed true, we need to be versatile when it comes to marketing. In one way or another, in order for us to compete or adopt to the business changes, we need to shift in response to the trend. This book is no doubt very impressive.

Having been with Keller Williams for a while now, I’d have to say they are an excellent company. Great training and support from the whole office is a huge plus. I’ve read Gary Keller’s Millionaire Real Estate Agent and it is crucial information valuable to any Realtor.

I have both books by Keller. What an awesome platform
to base your company on! Keller Williams just opened
in Halifax . I think they will go far!

I actually thought about joining KW a while back. I had emailed an agent that worked for KW asking if she would take me under her wing. I never heard back from her. This was not a major contributor of not joining a KW team, but just part of my story in how I started out in Real Estate. I also have read the Millionaire Real Estate Agent and I thought it was very insightful and inspiring. I felt that I learned a lot about KW and I try to implement some of the strategies discussed in the book in my own business.

I was with KW for 5+ years and the book is very good. New agents who actually follow the model do very well.

We don’t have a Keller Williams in my market area yet, but I have read the millionaire real estate investor, and the millionaire real estate agent and like the concepts they put into both.

I really like Williams’s books. I read his book much before starting my business. It gives me a lot of useful information and knowledge.

My friend is into the realty business…. his business is running kid of okay. I will refer this to him.

For those of who read this post that are NOT in the real estate business, I would encourage you that NOW is the time to get into real estate.

This is not an easy business and its not easy money…at least not at first. However, if you’re looking to build business with your own energy and love of people, then nothing comes close to being a Realtor.

I read Gary Keller’s book a few years ago and have been slowly implementing the systems he outlines. In spite of the disasterous market here in So Cal, we have been closing over 30 deals a year and are on our way to over 50 this year. Not huge, but steady growth. That’s what its all about. The first year or two can be tough, but it does get easier.

Good post.

I do not work for KW and I am a fairly new RE agent, but it never fails, when I talk to more seasoned agents they all seem to recommend that I read ‘Shift.’ I have just ordered my copy from Amazon and I am even more excited to read it after stumbling upon your post. It sounds like it will be extremely helpful, especially if I can implement it before I learn any bad habits. :)

I got my license in 2002 and the first book I read was the millionaire within. I thought I would rule the world after the book, but as real estate goes so goes your career. I have hung in there but times are tough.

Just this morning in the office we were discussing the great ideas this book has to offer (we’ve been using it for a few years to train our new agents and get things moving). What makes these ideas so remarkable? With all the different things that real estate agents can do and are doing, a lot are a waste of time or they are simply busywork that yield little to no results. These ideas are remarkable, because in combination with a real estate agent who pays attention, works hard, and is efficient, they will work–without fail and with plenty of results. Here in Idaho Real Estate we can see how these ideas help to get us leads and keep on top of them.

I am reading the millionaire real estate agent right now. While I am not a keller william agent. I love the book and I feel(and have heard) that its the best book available for real estate professionals.

Keller Williams is catching up to REMAX. I have done a bunch of deals with KW agents, and they are top notch!!!

27 Bay Area Real Estate May 4, 2011 at 8:12 am

A friend gave me this book at a Luxury Homes Marketing convention in Tampa Florida. We know the Keller-Williams story very well here in California, but this book is not all about that.

It describes how you actually have to WORK to be a success in real estate. No “secret words” for closing the deal, no “magic bullet” marketing schemes,… hard work!

Not only informative, but encouraging and motivating.

I have heard so much about Keller Williams and I must admit that it somehow caught my curiosity. Definitely, I will grab this book and become one of the millionaires in the world of real estate business.

30 Eric@Illinois Real Estate May 31, 2011 at 8:42 am

Keller Williams is a company that isn’t as active in my marketplace, but I did read The Millionaire Real Estate Agent when I was first getting into the business (actually it was suggested as required reading for my training). I keep the book around for a reference guide – it’s nice how the advice in there scales up no matter how many sides you do. I have spoken to several Keller Williams agents throughout my career from different areas and they love the company.

31 Sam Dodd @CedarCityHomes June 1, 2011 at 6:57 pm

Keller Williams is really a great company. Many people don’t know that so I am always amazing at the new stuff coming from Keller Williams.

32 Zachary Whitston June 9, 2011 at 9:31 am

I read his book on investing. This will have to be my next read. Keller Williams has always seemed to be the leaders of innovation and it looks like they are continuing this trend!

33 Annie@sell your house tips June 15, 2011 at 8:27 am

I’ve read Keller Williams’s book and I thought it was excellent. I have been in real estate for approximately 8 years now and have to say that this book has something for anyone interested in real estate. Whether you are new to real estate or have 20+ years experience I think that there are many great “nuggets” of information that can assist you on your journey through real estate.

34 Josh June 15, 2011 at 8:45 am

I have only heard good things about Keller Williams. This was a good read – thanks for the info!

35 Emme@77 Reade Street June 17, 2011 at 4:42 am

Oh, i’ve never heard about this book before, it seems interesting. Thanks for the info

36 Palmdale homes June 26, 2011 at 7:29 pm

I have that book. Someone at Keller Williams gave it to me. Plus, I know many other agents who work at Keller Williams. The success that Realtors experience there illustrates the impressive level of training they provide.

37 Frank@Montreal Condo June 28, 2011 at 9:40 am
