Visit msnbc.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

If you watched the entire video, you probably heard Ron Insana say now is the absolute best time to buy a home. His comments are directed at both buyers looking to buy their primary residences and investors looking to buy foreclosures and investment properties.

Lake Lanier is a great place for boaters when it gets a little too hot on the beach!

Here are a few lake homes and cottages where you can go to chill out in the heat of the summer!  The lake levels are back up and within about 5 feet of full pool.  Now is the time to find a lake house!

Weekend Honey Do Tips

from

A Pro Alliance Home Inspections

A/C Filter

Time to check: Air Conditioner Filter

It is the start of a new month this weekend, so it is time to change the filter in the air conditioner/furnace. This is a relatively simple task that will only take a couple of minutes.
When changing the filter, be sure to check the return area and clean if necessary. Also add some chlorine bleach to the condensate drain tube to inhibit blockage from algae build up.

 TireCheck your tires too!

Since this week’s maintenance is easily performed, you should also check your air pressure in your vehicle’s tires. If you are low on air pressure, inflate to the manufacturer specifications that are embossed into the tire sidewall. Proper inflation will make your tires last longer, give you better control of the vehicle, and improve gas mileage.

Oil Cap

While you are at it, you should check the fluids in your vehicle as well. There are several fluids that need to be checked; Oil, power steering, transmission, coolant, windshield washer, and brake fluid. Try do do this when the engine is cool, and check the manufacturer’s recommendations for fill level. These can be found in your owners manual.
